2008 we flew to the U.S. of A. needless to mention, we started missing our dog like 2 minutes after leaving her. this feeling strengthened by the hour. and we hit YELLOWSTONE about 4 or 5 days after leaving on the jetplane. so, when this young couple pitched their tent next to ours, practically during nightfall, while our fire was crackling and our food already eaten, we were watching them in excitement fix a long leash between two trees and tie two dogs to it: a weimaraner and a pointer. so we conferred and concluded, we would invite them over for a night by the flames (because it would be much too late to eat, if they would start a fire after setting up camp!). only condition: they would have to bring the dogs. said - done!

rachel turned out to be pregnant and they both were on their way to germany, where john was gonna be stationed.

sometime coincidences are hard to believe! :)
