having come home, the dragon has a new anchor point and starts spreading like a little ripple in the water...
each anchor point is also a center point. the center of the circle of the highest probability of presence, so to speak. and this circle now starts growing, naturally. now to the west, then to the east: first with the stroller into the fields, then to the very first party at neighbors' - yes, guess who was starring! :)
there was even visitors, again. and future almost-appointments for babysitting have been discussed, also. if this keeps going on like this, we're gonna have to draw numbers... :)

only the poor, lonely oxygen tank - banned to the ironing room - makes us feel sorry for him: collin just wants to breath by himself. big boy!

oh, by the way: there is silence in the dragon's cave. and the lights are off!

we did it! the dragon has landed... home...







as hard as it was, leaving our beloved intensive care unit: so many stopping by one last time for a word, asking us in disbelief: "you're not really leaving, are you?", letting us go only slowly...



as pretty was the welcome home: with balloons, banner, visit and presents...







the dragon will go their way, from here on out. with kind support and loving guidance, but go, there's no doubt!

countdown is set off, congregation! :)

we were officially trained today. for the emergency that everyone hopes will never come. collin will go home with a monitor, so much is certain. but a monitor does just that: monitoring. which means that upon an event we have to do something. and precisely this "something" is the point. in worst case this would be reanimation. until emergency personnel comes. not exactly a cake walk: here we are, practicing heart pressure massage on a baby dummy, dispelling the thought it could be our own child... luckily we have seen our share of havoc wreaked... everything's gonna be allright, right? :)

but the end is drawing near: monday. monday, the 11th of july, 2011, precisely 20 weeks, almost 5 months after the much-too-early birth... on this monday the dragon will - for the first time ever - ride a car, come home, into the room, into the cradle... for the first time hera, for the first time us, JUST us... door's open, bed's made... how often did i say this, and how diferent does it sound now!

time to recall you, the lot of you! simply everybody who has carried us here. i haven't and will never forget. and always remember: this aint the end, this is only just beginning! thank all of you! a great fragile moment, this, indeed! the light in the coming dark nights, for instance when the tooth fairy starts playing... :)

today was measuring day - again... our dragon now officially weighs in at 5 digits! over 10 kilograms! and when they play "bremen town musicians", they can even ride the elevator all by them selves! almost reaching the top floor button: one meter and fourty nine point five!

in turn the evening drinks order slowly starts looking like the one of a hord of english hooligans... after losing a home game... 4 minutes before the bell!

but this happy milky little grin on their way to dream land makes it all worth the while, i swear!

boring such blog, huh, when nothing happens for some time...

believe you me, it aint THAT quiet behind the scenes! organizing, organizing, organizing! bruna lives in the hospital for some time now, collin decided to stay under cover a little longer, yet. nothing serious, just another annoying deadline drift...

last weekend i had my first night shift, staid in the room with the dragon. was funny. what shall i say, they DO sleep through the night. i mean, almost. i mean one of them always sleeps. at least! so, as a team, they do sleep through the night. the rest will come soon! :)

monitor is ordered, for home. with a little luck next week will be the day, finally!

a day like painted... like ordered and paid for dearly... but it was completely free. but not in vain... here are the most important rules we learned today. today, on our FIRST EVER day outside. when the kiddos saw the TRUE light of the world for the first time. with no glass inbetween... ready? here we go:
#1: real men - like benjamin - do not take jackets!
#2: yes, they _ALL_ turn their head to look at us!
#3: after passing large crowds (crowd counts women as two and women above 45 as four!) the kids are to be counted, lest one goes "missing"!
#4: 30 seconds of direct sunlight on unprotected skin do not necessarily pose a life threat or cause lasting physical damage.
#5: neither do 40 seconds.
#6: every bend in the path causes the sun's angle to shift.
#7: even transversal forces in formula-1-range (i can assess that!) fail to agitate a newborn, or even wake them up!
#8: all street lights passed under are to be checked for sitting birds. (no, we were smart BEFORE disaster struck!)
#9: the search for a safe passage way can look like a lap of honor; we almost got standing ovations.
#10: the wheel is lacking the sporty 3 spokes!

summarizing: driving is cool! tomorrow we go again, this time with EVERYONE on board! YES, the chief traffic officer, erm chief doctor has written collin fit 4 traffic, as well!

and if no-one ties me down, i will push the stroller all the way home, one day... :)

wireless! the first one has no monitor anymore! our firstborn (yes, a whole minute, after all!) benjamin is officially named "accompanying child" today. which means, had he been an only child, he'd be home by now. but since mommy has to stay with the other two and because he can obviously not stay home alone (hey, his name aint kevin, is it?), he gets to stay... :)

victoria will be next, probably tomorrow, as the bush drums say. but even collin won't be long, judging by his excellent physical conditions...
