vicky is a cleptomaniac. no, really: she's filching everything that is not hidden or held. mostly pacifiers. mostly from her brothers. and it is completely irrelevant whether the object in desire is lodged in someone else's mouth and if so, in whose, or whether she has one in her own mouth at the time.

and when mommy and daddy want to evenly redistribute up comes the next problem challenge: collin does not want the pink girlie pacy anymore - he opens his mouth for nothing less than blue, if you please...

*sigh* and so it begins... :)

because we have a very wild dragon we had to hold out for help, so everything stays intact. vicky is rocking and rolling so vehemently while exploring and checking her strength and pushing her envelops, especially (surprise!) when she is supposed to sleep, that we decided to get the polar bears for our (very gentle) boys. they will watch over them from here on out and make sure no-one gets hurt. that way we only have a 2+1 headed dragon, but at least they still all sleep in the same cradle! lets see for how long...

our dragon went exploring, on the gym. well, it was a _little_ expedition, they didnt even leave the gym. but then again, why would he? there is so much to explore... see, hear, even taste... no way? - yes way, look:



we are base camp. but not much longer!

something is rustling there, let's find out, shall we?

everyone knows, scales are pretty useful things. but they can play a role in funny games, too, or even star in difficult riddles...

one example for a riddle could be: balance beam type scales, 9 balls of identical external looks, all of the same weight, except one, which is slightly heavier. now, weigh two times and unambiguously identify the heavy ball.

a funny game instead could go like this: on one side of the balance beam put five (german) packs of sugar, on the other ... collin! exactly! our little one has 5 kilo as of today! and thus he is not only as sweet as 5 packs of sugar, he is also as heavy! :)

and as soon as the first one solved the riddle above, i'll give you a photo as evidence! :)

well, very unfortunately, it looks as if our nice dragon cradle will soon have to be replaced... i do believe that with the dragon's size - strictly static length, that is! - it would hold up quite a while longer, however, with all the dynamic action the dragon has taken up, i am getting scared a little.
but we are not really prepared to go 3 individual beds, yet... maybe it would suffice to get the dragon really tired throughout the day - and especially towards evening time? 3 baby-gyms we got, to play until exhaustion and learn how to "fly"!


bottom line: the pace is picking up! we are forced to be more creative, at last! :) and the faces get funnier! loud laughter over really funny situations becomes more frequent! we just have to learn to always have the camera ready! like last night, for instance, when vicky in all quiet and secrecy turned on her belly and elbows to watch DVD with us and smiled "caught in the act" when we noticed... a prize-winning photograph, IF it was in fact on a CF-card rather than a brain cell!

we stay put and practice, promise! :)

our dragon - quite over night! - has learned how to talk. well, in no language scripted in some dictionary, somewhere, but making the same sounds in the same situations, reproducibly! isn't that the very definition of speaking, communicating, even?

and: the mimicry is here, too: collin waves, hello and good-bye! i wave at him, he waves back, also reproducibly!

the amazing thing is that it did literally happen over night... like the new year had this new chapter trailing in its wake. with this take on it in mind: to all readers and supporters - have a healthy and happy new year!

doesnt look so bad, does it? the young man did actually fight the fitting process a little bit but was successfully talked into it in the end. probably because it was such a nice lady who took care of us. and the looking machine really does look slick, i think. should be sufficiently rugged and hide no harm, since it is completely made from plastic with no sharp edges and nearly no moving parts. plus, it is supposed to be ready before xmas, yet! well, here is to a better seeing as well as a better looking! :)

bottom line: our firstborn and heir needs glasses, spex. early on it actually looked like collin was gonna become the thinker, but nature doesnt really share plans with us, does she?

well, lets see what kind of nice sporty models they got at the store, tomorrow we go to mannheim, which naturally brings about the chance for another picture, so bear with me, congregation, salvation lies within!

and if benny will one day be as big as his dad, he can wear those mini spex as a pendant off a necklace around his neck... how sweet! :)

i got another song line stuck in my head that just wont leave...

just about every night now - just recently - poor little dragon starts drooling like pawlow's dogs time ago when he rang his bell. along goes deafening, heart wrenching screaming, like all beds really were ablaze. looks like tooth fairy to me... read that sometime somewhere. :)
